I am passionate about deciphering the complex puzzle that is translation and I love the exploration and depth involved in academic translation specifically. Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, I have called Buenos Aires, Argentina home for the past twenty years. I hold a Master’s and a PhD from the Spanish and Portuguese Department at Princeton University and an undergraduate degree from The University of Western Ontario in both Music and Spanish. I have translated non-fiction academic texts from Spanish to English on a wide variety of topics ranging from the visual arts to psychoanalysis, biology to literary analysis, but my main area of interest is South American history and politics. In fact, I regularly teach a course at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella on the 1960s and 70s in the Southern Cone. I also direct The Walrus School, which has offered courses on creative writing and literature for over a decade. I live with my bilingual twins, my partner, and my cats, Sam and Batata.
